About Me

Vishal Rao is a third-year Ph.D. student in Computer Science at Georgia Tech, advised by Prof. Ada Gavrilovska. He is broadly interested in distributed systems with a focus on systems for emerging memory technologies and high-performance computing. His current work explores the use of memory disaggregation and near-data processing for datacenter workloads (HPDC ‘25). Prior to pursuing his Ph.D., he worked at the GeForce Now team at Nvidia and the Server Performance Group at AMD.
